I was so excited to take my wife and our twin daughters home newborn. The car was full of balloons and my heart was beating hard when I thought about finally having them all under the same roof.

But when I got to the hospital and walked into Suzie’s room, I only found Callie and Jessica in their beds. My wife was not there. Assuming I had gone out to get some fresh air, I approached the babies, and that’s when I saw the note hidden in one of their cribs.
