“Grandpa! Grandpa!”
He looked around, confused… overwhelmed…
There were so many.
Eighteen grandchildren.
The house that once held nine abandoned babies… now held an entire generation.
Richard sat down slowly, his hands shaking.
Tears filled his eyes.
“I only took nine…” he whispered.
Sarah stepped forward, took his hand, and smiled through her tears:
“No, Dad…”
“You didn’t take nine.”
“You started something the world can’t count.”
Then they gave him a gift.
A simple frame.
Inside it… two pictures.
The first one — old, faded — showed nine tiny babies lying side by side.
The second — bright and full of life — showed a massive family.
Daughters. Husbands. Children.
A legacy.
